Job Description:
As a Renewable Asset Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the management and optimization of renewable energy assets. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of renewable energy projects, such as solar farms, wind farms, and storage plants. Your role will involve a combination of financial analysis, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Asset Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of renewable energy assets, including energy generation, equipment reliability, and maintenance schedules. Identify and address any operational issues or underperformance to maximize asset efficiency.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and reporting for renewable energy projects, including revenue forecasts, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Contract Management: Manage contracts with suppliers, contractors, and off-takers. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, negotiate terms, and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and policies in the renewable energy industry. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as local and national renewable energy standards.
- Asset Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize asset performance, including evaluating and implementing new technologies or process improvements. Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with renewable energy projects, such as equipment failure, regulatory changes, and market fluctuations. Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, project developers, operations teams, and government agencies. Foster positive relationships and communicate effectively to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports and presentations on asset performance, financial metrics, and project status. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to asset management activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in renewable energy or project management is a plus.
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development, and operations.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
